Tottenham – Real Madrid

Tottenham Hotspur hosts Real Madrid in a match from Group H of the UEFA Champions League.

These two teams are leading the group with 7 points won each other. It’s curious that they have the same goal difference as well – 7:2. Taking into account that the other two teams in the group have just one point won so far, Tottenham and Real Madrid are very close to qualifying together for the 1/8-finals.

The big question is – who will win the group?

The first game between them at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid ended with a 1-1 draw. Raphael Varane scored himself an own goal, before Cristiano Ronaldo to equalize after a penalty kick. This draw allows Tottenham to be a leader in the group at the moment.

Now the two big favourites in this group are going to meet again at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London. This is a crucial match for the first place in the group. And you can be sure that both teams would like to finish first in this group, this is out of question.

In the English Premier League Tottenham are currently 3rd, being on 8 points behind the leader Manchester City. In the last round of the EPL Tottenham suffered a 0-1 defeat against Manchester United. It was an even game, before Anthony Martial to score with a late winner.

In La Liga Real Madrid are in a serious crisis. During the weekend Zinedine Zidane’s team suffered a surprising defeat against the newcomer Girona. Now Real Madrid is already on 8 points behind the leader Barcelona, which means that they have to improve as soon as possible, if they want to defend their title.

We shall expect a great game between these two teams. And one of them shall take advantage in the battle for the first place.
