Real Madrid – Sporting Lisbon

The Champions League title holders Real Madrid begin their participation in the tournament, hosting Sporting Lisbon at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Spanish capital.

Currently leading the table in La Liga, Zinedine Zidane’s team is confident and ready to leave once again its mark on Europe’s most prestigious club competition.

It’s also going to be a special night for Real Madrid’s biggest star Cristiano Ronaldo, who is about to face his first club. Ronaldo started his career from Sporting in his early days, so it’s going to be interesting to see how he’d celebrate if he scores.

Just like Real Madrid, Sporting are enjoying a perfect start of the new season in the Portuguese Primeira Liga so far. The Lions started the new campaing with four wins from four games, comfortably leading the table in the Primeira Liga. Playing at the Santiago Bernabeu is going to be an entirely different thing though.
