Real Madrid – Borussia Dortmund
The reigning champions Real Madrid are hosting Borussia Dortmund in a decisive game in group F of the Champions League. This is the game which will define which one of the two teams will win the group.
Right now Borussia Dortmund are the team which is in a pole position for the first place. The German team is first in the group with two points advantage in front of Real Madrid. Even the draw at the Santiago Bernabeu will be enough for Borussia Dortmund to win this group. But it’s dangerous thought to visit the Bernabeu with the idea of a draw in your head.
Real Madrid on the other hand understand very well the situation. They know that it’s only the win which guarantees them the first place. And they will give their all to achieve the result they desire. Real Madrid is a team which plays ultra offensive football in front of its own fans, so we should expect to see them attacking the German team during almost every minute of the match.
Gareth Bale is the biggest problem for Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane for this game. The Welshman is still injured, so the French tactician will have to pick another player to replace him. The good news come from the condition of Alvaro Morata, Danilo and Fabio Coentrao, who are again ready and fit to play.
Borussia Dortmund’s head coach Thomas Tuchel will be without the services of his titular goalkeeper Roman Burki, who is out with a broken hand. The central defender Neven Subotic is also not fit to play. Shinji Kagawa is doubtful for the game, but Sven Bender is once again ready to be used.
We should expect an entertaining game at the Santiago Bernabeu between two very good and offensive teams, who love to score a lot of goals against each other.
