Leeds United – Fulham

Leeds United faces Fulham at the Elland Road in a match from the second round of the Premier League. Let’s see what these two newcomers have to offer us at the moment.

Leeds United made a heroic performance in their debut game against Liverpool. Marcelo Bielsa’s team paid a visit to the Anfield and made a great match, but at the end they lost with 3-4. Still Leeds showed us that they are ready to leave their mark in the league this season.

It was a crazy game at the Anfield. Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford and Mateusz Klich scored for the visitors, but Liverpool managed to pull this out with a late penalty kick scored by Mohamed Salah. We should say it, though – it does not happen everyday to score three goals at the Anfield Road.

We believe Bielsa could be doing some changes for this game. The club’s record signing Rodrigo entered the pitch against Liverpool from the bench, but he could be starting on Saturday. This sounds logical.

Fulham didn’t make the same impression in their first game since the promotion. The Cottagers hosted Arsenal at home, but didn’t do much and got beaten with 0-3. Surely the manager Scott Parker was not satisfied with his team’s performance.

Everyone at Fulham is aware that it’s going to be a tough fight for survival. The club’s performance in the first round was not what they hoped for but playing against the Gunners is not easy, too.

Judging by these two teams’ performances in the first round, Leeds United should be favourites against Fulham on Saturday. It’s a clear fact they did much better than the Cottagers in the first round. With Marcelo Bielsa at the helm, we should be expecting a lot of crazy moments from Leeds during the season.
