Lazio are a Top 4 team this season, but they have won just one point in their last four matches in the league. That’s now what the manager Simone Inzaghi wants to see from his players, neither the fans. Because of their strong performance through the season, Lazio still have a solid 11 points advantage in front of the 5th Roma.

On Monday the Eagles had a tough task to face the champion Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. Ciro Immobile managed to score in the last minutes of the match, but before this Cristiano Ronaldo had scored twice for the Old Lady. Lazio tried as much as possible, but it’s never easy against Juventus.

Just as their next opponent, Cagliari are not in the shape they would like to be. The Rossoblu won just three points from their last five fixtures, also being without a win for this period of time. They approach this visit to Rome from 11th place in the standings, which is at least giving them some opportunity to finish the season as calm as possible. They successfully survived for just another season in the Serie A.

In their last game Cagliari made their 12th draw for the season. The Rossoblu hosted Sassuolo at the Sardegna Arena, but the game ended without a winner – 1-1. The Brazilian Joao Pedro scored Cagliari’s only goal in the game.

Cagliari finished this game with a man less on the pitch, though. Andrea Carboni got sent off in the 48th minute, so he can’t play against Lazio on Thursday.

Maybe it’s time for Lazio to win again in the Serie A. The Eagles have a great opportunity to do it against Cagliari. Let’s see.
