Everton faces Manchester United

Everton faces Manchester United at the Goodison Park on Sunday in a match from the 28th round of the Premier League.

Everton were moved out of the Top 10 after losing to Arsenal in the previous round of the Premier League. Carlo Ancelotti’s team lost with 2-3 their visit to Emirates which was the reason why they moved back to 11th place in the division. This was the Toffees’ first defeat since the first day of the year, which is a proof that Ancelotti is doing some terrific job in order to improve the team after Marco Silva’s mediocre reign.

Against Arsenal Everton showed they are a tough team and scored twice at the Emirates, but it was just not enough. Now the Toffees will have the chance to impress again, especially at their own Goodison Park. In this game Ancelotti has a rather full squad with Jean Philippe Gbamin being the only injured.

For Manchester United every next game becomes more and more important. Because of Manchester City’s suspension even the 5th place will guarantee a place in the Champions League for the next season. Right now United are 5th in the standings with 41 points, but they are just one point ahead of the 6th Tottenham Hotspur. The race for the Champions League is going to be really intense until the end of the season.

Manchester United will travel to Liverpool with good confidence. The club won its last two games in the Premier League while on Thursday the Red Devils crushed the Belgian side Club Brugge with 5-0 in Europa League. Clearly Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is in a good spot at the moment. United are playing well.

In conclusion we can say that we don’t see any clear favourites here in this game between Everton and Manchester United. Both teams have some good tools to win, so let’s see.
