Bayern Munich – PSV

Bayern Munich faced Atletico Madrid and lost for a first time in the Champions League this season, but now the Bavarians will have the chance to fix their mistake, hosting PSV at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Bayern appointed Carlo Ancelotti in the summer with a Champion League triumph in mind, so now the Italian must remind everybody that he is one of the most successful managers in this competiton’s history.

He inherited a solid squad from the former manager Pep Guardiola, so now everyone awaits to see how he will develop what he’s already got.

PSV are the obvious underdogs in this clash. We can expect to see them get behind the ball and wait for their chances to counter-attack. But it remains to be seen if they can deal with Bayern’s monstrous offensive power.

For Bayern it’s a “must win” situation, if they want to keep up with Atletico in the battle for the first spot in the group.
